For almost a century and a half, the Imperial Stock Ranch has been nurturing the transformation of sunlight energy into healthy plant matter, and the further conversion to protein in the form of meat and fiber, by well managed grazing animals. These interconnected relationships and cycles have been providing sustenance, warmth and shelter to man for thousands of years. They are important natural relationships we are all called to honor.

For the past 10 years, the Imperial Stock Ranch has been utilizing the talented hands of Oregon’s fiber artists and designers to bring our wool to life in the many beautiful designs and garments they’ve created. From spinning and dyeing, to knitting, weaving, felting, design and construction, the beautiful handcrafted garments have delighted our customers.

In 2009, the Imperial Stock Ranch collaborated with internationally known sustainable fashion designer Anna Cohen, to create the future of apparel. With our wool as the basis, and firmly committed to regional and domestic production, the first Imperial Collection by Anna Cohen (preview) headlined the final night of Portland Fashion Week 2009. To rave reviews…..the collection was praised for not only its design elements and beauty, but the authenticity, transparency and traceability….from ranch to runway, truly leading the way in sustainable fashion.
